To serve the needs of our customers and provides services that enhance our relationships with the people of Indian River County and our commitment to anticipate and respond rapidly to changing economical conditions and requirements.

  • To accomplish our mission, we need to:
  • Promote fair and equitable rates and charges.
  • Provide responsive, professional, and courteous customer service.
  • Promote a challenging, rewarding, and cooperative environment for our employees.
  • Provide responsible fiscal management.

The mission statement defines our reason for being as an organization, expressed in terms of our commitment to our customers, our employees, and our community.

What is a Customer?

  • A customer is someone that we provide goods and a service to.
  • A customer can also be just someone we do business with, such as contractors and other industry colleagues.
  • Internal customers are those in our field or within our administrative offices.

What is Service?

  • Service is actions carried out on behalf of or in response to a customer.
  • We strive to provide good quality customer service.

The kind of relationship we build with our customers has a ripple effect on every operation within our organization.
